Bow Joint Takedown System

The new Robertson Bow Joint Takedown system represents a significant improvement over the Bow Bolt system we've relied on for the last decade. While the previous system was robust, it posed challenges in assembling and disassembling the bow, particularly for those with less strength.

To address this, we collaborated with my nephew, Andy Troutwine, an accomplished machinist. Andy devised a solution that makes joining the bow halves effortless. The Bow Joint system is crafted from stainless steel with a 5/8” outside diameter and 1/2” inside diameter. The two halves are embedded in micarta for added strength.

With a simple 90° twist of the wrist, the bow halves securely lock together, creating a seamless one-piece bow.
